hi there,
got some info about mods in an older Thread
you could use gdrive/dbox/etc to distribute the mods/conversions (that don´t get pushed) present on your server if you don't want your players to download everything themselves from different sources.
hi there,
you could take a look at the Remote Admin Tool by JFF, it requires the bad company server manager and allocs server fixes but its worth it if you want a nice server manager running alongside.

heya ,
downloading the map from the server and paste it into your local game folder
( SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Worlds)
could be a workaround.
For the problem itself, it has been around some time and every time it could be another reason.
you could look at the games console ( F1) while loading/connecting to server to spot errors [log file on win via steam are here :
"SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die\7DaysToDie_Data"
hi there
try
<admin steamID="76561198052919972" name"koolbrojo" permission_level="0" />
(also you have a space before the steam id [assuming you copied the line] )
What about config folders with another folder inside it? I have seen videos on how to load the mods server side but there are some mods that have that extra folder in it.
Hi there
config folders are fine for server side mods.
Everything else should be down here :
You have to put them (please check that Mod and Game version match) in the root directory of you Server in a Folder called Mods
(you have to create this yourself).
Then you can use your Nitrado-server-dashboard file upload, to get the Mods up on the Server.
Or (imho) the better way:
Get your ftp login details from the dash board (just scroll down), and use some ftp-program to upload you mods. (Filezilla is free and works great).
Don´t forget to restart the server after uploading.
There are mods which require editing/replacing .dll-Files (i.e. overwriting original game files)
In case you want to avoid these things, try to stick to mods that do not require install on clients or change the game files.
Mods that require to change game files (mostly .dlls ) need to be copied to game install dir with(!!) overwriting exiting files. [Server and client side]
Mods (that only go into the Mods Folder) with "UIAtlases" & "Resources" folders need to be installed on Server and client side.
Mods (that only go into the Mods Folder) without "UIAtlases" & "Resources" folders don´t, they get pushed to the client while starting the game.

heya ,
you could look in the official 7dtd forum mod section
maybe this is something for you A18/A19 Creature Packs
hope that´ll help a little
Heya ,
It should be enough to (via ftp) download " /Data/Worlds/YOUR_WORLD" and the /Saves/ directory .
You should remember the game and mapversion and the mods (best download Mods folder ) and maybe serverconfig.xml used at this point.
I may be missing something but this should do the trick.
Under normal circumstances the server should stop the time if no players are online.
Display MoreFor general things you edit the serverconfig.xml in the main 7dtd directory
If you want to change how many points per level you get and how much additional XP you need for each level - then you need to change the progression.xml file (Its in the 7dtd/data/config folder)
Drop me a pm if you need more detailed help...
Would you be willing to give a more in depth help on changing the amount of points per level? struggling to figure that out right now...
Please do not change things in /data/config/ directly ; it´s better to use xpath modlets (Good xpath modding tutorial from7dtd forum ->klick me)
Just copy the folder "Skillpoints_per_level" from the zip i attached into you Mods folder .
Inside the Mod is a folder "config" containing a permission.xml , just open this to change the points per level.
Hi there again
you could try to change some settings in the serverconfig.xml
this time it´ll be this Part of the config:
hope that helps
p.s. i attached the original serverconfig.xml (A19b180), cause there are many helpful comments about each setting in it.
[ sadly nitrado deletes those on there servers]

Hi there,
can´t find this in the app:
BUT Nitrado also backups your server (which is maybe more what you wanted), look in the Webinterface (not via the app, use a browser) -> Tools -> Restore Backup
there you can restore your server files as well as the database.

hi there,
yes you can -> open the serverconfig.xml file in on your servers ftp.

heya,
tried a server restart ? mine updated 20 mins ago after i restarted it (several times ).
Just reinstalling the Experimental build via the reinstall option in your servers webinterface should do the trick
I also want to play experimental 19 but I have read that the server automatically updates to the stable version, is there no other way for nitrated ones to choose any version including the experimental one?
Just click on "Switch Game" in your servers webinterface (last menu item on the left).
Then find " 7 Days To Die (Experimental Branch)" and click "install"
Aunt Edit says: This will install it next to the stable on your server (ftp home directory now has stable and experimental install folders) and you can switch between them via the above mentioned Nitrado webinterface Item.
Display MoreHi, i installed 3 mods -
A19 HUD Plus at 7 Days to Die Nexus - Mods and community
Hit bar - health bar Alpha 19 at 7 Days to Die Nexus - Mods and community
PhD Bigger Backpack and Secure Storage Chest at 7 Days to Die Nexus - Mods and community
with FTP i created "Mods" file (7 Days To Die/Mods) and insert there mods but in game i didnt see any change. where can be a problem? thx
did you restart your server ?
Heya,
If you create a new world, it´ll be generated and saved into new folders ( i.e. \save\world1 and \Data\Worlds\world1 )
just read the comments in the original serverconfig ( not the nitrado version), that will explain enough, i think.
A19 original serverconfig.xml vs. the one on the nitrado server. (original with comments included in post, if you need it)
