    Is there a way to get your server to do a count down before it restarts? Rather then players on it getting a message saying that they were kicked from server?


    Also can we customize messages on our own servers some how?



    I currently have 1 restart time with a custom message setup but the message part doesn't work.

    What's the best method to get your server onto page 1 or 2 of the community server list? I know ! (alot of spaces) and then the server name is one method. But I head that causes server issues/crashing...?


    The other day I saw 4 servers with the same sort of formatting that mine has at the beginning but their servers were the first 4 servers listed on page 1.

    So since last night September 3rd, my team and i have scavenged every military base several times repeatedly going from one Military site to another in the North West area of the map. Not a single one of us have found any high tier guns such as AK-74, AK-101, AK-M or M4's. And the same issue is occurring today as well except members of my server are noticing and messaging me about it. Has anyone else had this issue with their server?

    I'm not sure why this is happening; Maybe because of the little DayZ update that happened last night? I have only really had my server running for about 14 Days total with an average of 20 players on it at a time. ( and there we some days where it would constantly restart or crash/be down).

    If anyone is having the same issue, Id love to know if its just my server or if others are being effected as well? I'd love to avoid a server reset considering the server has only been up for such a short period of time.

    One thing I have noticed reviewing my log file is that there seems to be a lot of people "hit by Fireplace with FireDamage" and dieing from it. I'm not sure if there is a new glitch out there that involves this method to somehow duplicates gear or if duping still exists?

    So I started having server issues on Monday, I Figured I would wait a day and see if the issue resolves its self. After it didn't resolve its self, I created a support ticket. It took them about 48 Hours to reply to my support ticket. What they suggested was to change my server name because it has special characters which is causing the issue. However there are TONS of servers on the first and second page of the community server list that use special characters and the servers are at high capacity of players 24/7. And prior to the last few days my server had been running fine. Also my server name is under 64 Characters and only has ! ( ) - for special characters.

    In my support ticket question to them I asked support to credit my account since the server was unusable for a few days. When they answered my support ticket they completely ignored the question I asked them about crediting my account or extending my server service for the 3 - 4 days. I then replied to the support ticket 2 more times within a 24 hour period inquiring about crediting my account and extending my service and never heard back from them since.. Its been around 48 Hours now.

    Ignorant company with little regard to customer satisfaction or quality services to their client IMO.

    after about an hour of waiting the server started back up again, then just shut down again after playing for 15 minutes, then started again after about 5 minutes, then that lasted about 1.5 hours now its shut down again.

    The last few hours my server has crashed 3 times done it will do a countdown from 10-1 and kick everyone out. Then you cannot reconnect for 1-3 minutes. It gives an unknown error and won't connect to the server.


    I'm not sure if this is the server doing random restarts on its own again or server crashing?


    I have one custom server restart time set for 9am... And all of these server crashing issues occured this evening. Any help would be great.

    So I have tried changing my server name, making it shorter and it has made zero difference. I also contacted Nitrado support via Ticket and they offered to change my "server hardware" which actually made my server even worse... Constantly restarting every hour, Crashing or not appearing in the server list at all.

    So today Ive tried all day to play on my day off, the server is in permanent restart and will not load I've paid a hefty amount of money so far to have two server run days already gone and to not to be able to use my server. Name is shorter only three letter now so please don't give me that response again that has done absolutely nothing.

    You're not the only one. I have had my server since August 16th and 85% of the time its not showing up in the DayZ Community server list, or its crashing or restarting on its own every hour.

    Did you change the server name so you would recognize it? There are a lot of issues of servers not showing up in the DayZ Community server list, as well as server stability. Also I was told by Nitrado that before you make changes to your server; make sure you stop the server first, then make your changes and then restart your server.

    I have read on other threads that making custom messages doesn't work right now. I'm not 100% sure if this will change in the future or not. Consoles kinda get the sh%t end of the stick when it comes to server features/admin rights...

    As far as I know all you can change as an admin is:

    - Day/Night ratio using the multipliers
    - Password
    - Custom Server time (Date of year you want to use)
    - Server name
    - Custom server restart time
    - Enabling or Disabling 3rd Person mode

    - Enabling or Disabling the Crosshair

    Hopefully i'm wrong and there is a bunch more that I missed.. or that more options will be available in the future.

    How about instead of Nitrado taking peoples money and making them wait 10+ Days to receive a server that most likely is only going to work half the time (if that). They actually produce stable and reliable servers first to their current clients.

    I have followed Nitrado instructions on how to properly make changes to my server. (Stopping the server first > Make your changes > Restart Server) Still Glitching out...
    I have tried shortening my server name... DOESN'T WORK!
    I contacted Nitrado Via Support tickets, they tried "changing my server hardware" The server actually got worse!

    NITRADO FOCUS ON FIXING YOUR SOFTWARE OR SERVERS FIRST BEFORE TAKING OTHER PEOPLES MONEY AND MAKING EVEN MORE PEOPLE SUFFER!

    Also..... QUIT TAKING TIME OFF MY PAID SERVER WHEN IT DOESN'T WORK 85% OF THE TIME!!!!!!!!

    Moderators at this time dont have an exact count. I would keep it less than 64. If it fails to restart, make is shorter and go from there.

    As for the characters, its anything that counts. Spaces count as characters.

    So right now my server is FreshData - (US) NY 3.6 Hour Days - 30 Minute Nights - Public PVP with a bunch of spaces (say 30ish) in front of it. But it keeps crashing and then not restarting. This happens every hour or so. I then have to manually stop the server and restart it; then it will crash again.. and again. I submitted a ticket for it and the information provided to me hasn't helped.
