  • Left 4 Dead servers not updated to most recent

    Hello,


    I got a message while connecting my my L4D server "Invalid protocol, expecting 1038, got 1031"


    This is because the game hasn't been updated. I haven't been able to connect to my server ever, customer service is dodging me, and I really want compensation. This server has never worked and it's on a fresh install. It seems like the L4D 1 servers have been abandoned on this website. I can't install my own updater since you won't allow .exe files, which is a huge pain by the way and not normal.

    I’m not able to install sourcemod by the way of the Nitrado Wiki, and I believe it’s so to sourcemod having exe files associated with it. Has anyone successfully installed sourcemod on a source server before? I’m using it on Left 4 Dead 1 but I’m sure plenty of people have installed in on their CS:GO servers and such, as it is the most common mod and base for mods in all source games.
