Its used certainly when you upload a save game *.db* and *.fwl* files and trhen change the world name in start_server.sh otherwise it looks for a different world name file

There is an admin command that you can use to force a save - can't recall off the top of my head but I found through google. You're lucky you can get in tbh many cant

This doesnt work for any of my Valheim servers - not listed and get "nserver is not responding" when adding in Steam and finding games! Servers there - noone can access it

That would be fair wisdom if the servers weren't running fine a few days ago - and mine in fact yesterday. This isn't a game related issue as other providers are running the game post update without issue.

Hi - please can we get some communication on what is happening with the servers so we can relay that to our players/members? I have two Valheim servers that cannot be used and people now moving away from my membership to play on or host their own servers. I acknowledge that this is a new game and there will be teething problems but radio silence on the issue and the steps you are taking to resolve it is really poor form. If we can't see any communication in the next 24 hours I will have to move to an alternate provider and certainly won't risk starting up my Eco server here.

Please -c an you keep us updated so we can update our playerbase as well?

I think I may just cancel this server. Not seeing any other providers having similar issues. Whats worse is radio silence from Nitrado on this while our credits tick down!!!

I have one Valheim server running perfectly after update! i just changed a second server from Space Engineers to Valheim and now have the same problem as everyone else - server will not run. Dashboard shows no activity on CPU or Memory. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times plus restarts! Would be ncie to have the second server up before tomorrow if possible as its for a livestream!

So this was posted 4 hours ago and I know my server is all kinds of borked still. They'd figured out the other issue with not reaching the web interface only now it's not allowing the update. I get that this is an alpha game but yikes. I am super nervous to try just exporting the savedata folder and reinstall - just doing that will maintain our server progress?

Export the game and test it on a local machine before doing anything. if your save game works locally you know at least its a valid file type. The issue may be though if you update your server and then upload your old save game file it may not work! Its all I can think of doing

Hi all - just wondered if anyone could shed some light on this for me. I have two servers with Nitrado (Space Engineers and Valheim) which run more or less smoothly (occasional lag spikes) but I have a particular issue when a player joins from Asia Pac (servers are based in Frankfurt and London with Nitrado). Both servers will crash kicking out all players and restart. 100% repeatable.

Essentially I have members who cannot play on either of these servers from that part of the world.

We have tried numerous "fixes" assuming it is a ping based problem but to no avail. Any advice or help most welcome? I also have a ticket in to support but thought the community may be able to help shed some light on the subject?

Same here none of my players can connect due to the incompatibility.

Closing threads discussing server issues is only helpful if we can make posts in "Other Games" in the support section. Currently we cannot make such posts as there is no Valheim category.

Can anyone advise me where I can change the seed for the world in Valheim? I have my server but want to change the world generated!

Hi - I have scheduled a stream tonight for Space Engineers and bought a server earlier this afternoon so we can have some group content. However - the server is just stuck on "installing" and has been so for about an hour now! I have about 90 minutes left before the stream starts - can anyone help fix this in the timeframe? if not I will have to requesta refund and source an alternate. Sorry. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer?

Hi all,

Looking for some advice please? I have had an Ark server running for a few days and played about an hour ago. When I came to log in just now everything on my server had gone and I was prompted to start a new game. I have checked my base location and it has gone, everything including my character inventory has been wiped.

I have looked to make a restore from backup but I receive a message saying there is no backup information although I am sure I checked this when looking at the server settings.

Can anyone advise how I may restore at all? If not, I'm off I am not putting in another 3 solid days to get back to where I was an hour ago.

Advice welcome?
