    This issue has been reported before and this is the recommendation from the Dev from SurviveTheArk Support Forums:

    "restore from a previous backup prior to the update".


    When updates are released, sometimes that can cause this. I am assuming you made no other manual ini changes to player levels.

    another thing you could try:

    In many cases structures are counted/applied like dinos area.


    You could on the WebUI disable the Dino Animation and see if that setting works for the Turrets.

    Note: when apply the change shutdown server for at least 5m, change, save, restart.

    Server must be offline for at least 5min, make the changes, save, then restart.

    If you have followed all of that and think it is a server issue please contact Nitrado Support.


    If you are having issues with a specific mod, its best to reach out the the steam workshop of that community.

    With expert mode you can not go back and forth. It can and will cause issues. If it is not working now you can either reload a backup, or reinstall the server to revert to an earlier state.

    If you are still having issues, some basic things to do:

    (1) Restart the server. If is hangs, about 5-10m a button appears to forcestop, then restart.

    (2) Check out the server logs. If you see crashstack, that more likely is a corrupted gamefile. It happens with ARK. Sadly the resolution is to rollback to the last known saved file. And no way knowing which one is bad. Some folks that do not feel comfortable trying this- you can contact Support.

    (3) If this is a new server, try a reinstall.

    (4) If all the above fails, please contact Nitrado Support to further investigate. If you already have please continue to be patient. We are unable to assist you here in the forums.

    In your MS account, go to subscriptions to remove it. It has also been asked a couple times recently here in the forums with detailed info. The Forum located in the top right has a search function if you would like to search more info. thank you.

    Just change the map, save, restart.

    Files remain.

    NOTE: the profiles of the players will continue to have data from both maps.

    It is recommended you use FTP and make a manual backup of the server before you make the change. At least you would have something to rollback to in an event something happened.

    You can change the slot to whatever you want as it has nothing to do with gamefiles. Just make sure its at least 20 or it wont be playable.

    Not sure if this happens with console servers, but downgrading slots on PC in most case makes it move to another server which means the IP changes.
