Dear forum members,
for some time now we have been creating and maintaining new ways to help game server admins with questions and problems as quickly as possible, e.g. our Guides section and the Nitrado Community Discord.

Therefore, we inform you that the Nitrado Forum will be closed on March 31, 2023. We are consolidating our community support to our Discord channel, which is faster and more efficient. We have also seen incredible growth in our community due to the hard work of our moderators and our bots. We are confident that this move will ensure that we provide the best support possible for our users.

Thank you to all members for your continued use of the forum!

You don’t need to do anything to make it playable on PS4 apart from making sure cross play is turned on in your server settings (it should be on by default)

You’ll also want to change the server name so it’s easier for you to search/find and setting a password so you don’t get unwanted players joining.

do note there are major issues with the FS servers at the moment in general, mainly related to not being able to find servers but also connection issues.

Out deviated server was working ok to start with but haven’t been able to connect for 4 days now : / , game loads to 96% abs then crashes the game (PS4 & PS5)

Sorry to spam but it wouldn’t let me edit my comment. I see some of you also have tickets open, can any of you’s tell me if you can track or view your ticket anywhere? I can’t seem to find the one I logged anywhere nor do I have an email or anything regarding it so I’m worried it didn’t actually work and I need to submit again?

@OP You can send invites now when on the farm management menu I believe which may help your situation, it’s clicking the right analogue stick on PlayStation.

we have been having the same issue since release but for the past 3 days non of us have been able to get in at all, either doesn’t find server or when it does you either get ‘failed to connect to server’ instantly or it loads to 96% and then crashes the console, very frustrating.

not does say there are some issues with the server list but feel like there something further amiss with ours at this point as lots of other people still seem to be able to play.
have a ticket in with support so waiting to hear back on that : /

I have the same problem and seen in an earlier post regarding this you said you can move the server to your desired location at a future date if hardware becomes available there, just want to check if this move involves a wipe or anything or location can be moved with server intact?

I also assume there is no problem clustering a London & German server beyond the increased ping in the location further away?

So like many I have went to add more servers and create a cluster for ark only to discover that having a password on clustered servers doesn’t work correctly and causes issues.

PC players can get around this by whitelisting players and making the server exclusive join, unfortunately Console players can’t do the same and there is no white listing.

All console players can do is hope people don’t randomly join and monitor the player list manually to look out for unwanted players.

My suggestion is for Nitrado to implement an independent system that allows server renters to add players into it who they wish to be ‘white listed‘, if any players who are not on this list join your server you simply get an automated notification in the control panel/app or an email alert. The Admin can then Ban the unwanted players in the control panel (perhaps an option to manually add a player to ban list would be needed as well)

this would at least take the worry out of having to keep checking the player list manually or missing players from other time zones joining your server while you sleep.

I’ve also came here looking for this info.

Have a Nitrado ark server (PS4) and looking to add more and cluster them but just discovering you can’t password protect them is REALLY putting us off.

from what I can understand there is little Nitrado can do about it and you just have to ‘monitor’ your server and manually look out for unwanted users joining.

is there an easy way to see player names that have connected to the server somewhere or is the only way catching them online in the connected players list?

it would be nice/smart if Nitrado could create some kind of system outside of Ark where you could enter your Whitelisted players ID’s and you get a simple notification or email alert if anyone who isn’t white listed joins. That would at least take the worry out of constantly monitoring/checking the player list
