Let me rephrase the question;

What do you all do for lag improvements? If any?

Please keep in mind, it's not a terrible lag. It's just the normal stuff. On top of a slight connection lag, there's just the known glitches with inventory, random fresh spawns not logged in the log files, and more.

Does anyone do anything to their settings to help reduce glitches? Or is that just DayZ as a whole?

really? I would think that a 10 slot server is allowed x amount of ram, significantly less ram allowed in a 70 slot.

If i own a 10 slot server and run with 8-9 people in it, could it be close to its cap for ram? If I upgrade the slots but keep it at 8-9 people, could that help the server perform better?

Yes, I have tested my ping. Generally, it does fine. But I'm wondering if anyone has removed any spawn items that they don't use to improve lag and improve gameplay.

I have owned the server for a couple days now and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to reduce lag?

I reboot every 6 hours already automatically.

Could reducing the amount of zombie spawns decrease lag?

Reducing numbers of items not used reduce lag? (I only have nighttime on for 30 min on my server, so should I remove headlights, glow sticks, flashlights, etc?)

I imagine reducing the zombies will improve lag greatly! But I'm not sure.

What do you do to reduce lag?

I actually just bought the server last night. I have already configured my day/night cycle, some item loot spawn, reboots, and a little more. I am just having issues finding information on how to configure weather settings. Just to turn the rain down a little bit.

I have found posts from 2 months ago that talk about how these settings aren't available to us yet, is this still the case? Or can I find them in some directory somewhere?

Any information would be helpful.
