Hello Nitrado Community So i'm always making changes and like to restart my server when making these changes. I recently did a fix for Lost Connection to host(Empty Password host)/Primalgamedata_bp loading screen crash. Fix w/grid editor.. This was a fix i came up with nitrado so i decided that if i had another issue i would post any fixes i have that do not include a server wipe. so here is the fix i did:
1. so after you do the restart if you have multiple servers you want to be able to see what ones are (green) and which is stuck in restart loop (yellow). make sure that you do not use force restart.
2. now on each server that is yellow or not restarting go to the most recent Server back up for that server (my issue was today and i used today's server back up).
3. now your server should manually restart with no issues.

Fixing your Server? want to be able to log in with out taking you server password off?
( fix )
1. got to your server at nitrado website, and go to your main server config file and download it.
2. Open your grid editor Ctrl and left click on each sector and make sure Home Server is check on all maps in use on your server.
3. Save and upload new config file to your server.
4. restart your server if you are applying this as a fix. Or if it is a new server stop & start the new server.
-
Steps:
1. download cluster config
2. open in your Grid Editor
3. make sure all your maps have Home Server Clicked so it is set to your home server
4. Save and upload cluster config
5. all maps that you use should now have the home icon on the nitrado website(when you have uploaded you new config).
6. Restart main server.

So Explaining (Home Server) in the Grid editor. This Check box is the only thing i found that adds the map to Xbox when you log in. if you were to uncheck this on your main server you wouldn't be able to log in. So proper translation should be (Set to Home Server).
*allows Primalgamedata_bp to load
*allows use of map login when joining the cluster, adds the sector to xbox map screen.
*and some game stuff but i'll let you post whats new on your servers.
Enjoy!

Bit of a necro sorry.
Any tips on how to resolve this? I have a 2 day old Atlas PC server with vanilla settings that i have yet to be able to get past the "timeout" issue for anyone connecting.
Can connect to official just fine.
TIA
I have over 6 servers through nitrado.. I cant even login to my atlas servers. All steps are completed, people are even playing on it! But for some reason the creator of the servers cant? Fix this please. It's been 2 days.. and yes I've already called and they said they were aware of this issue but again.. that was 2 days ago! I'm spending hundreds of dollars!!
I'm coming up on day 4 i feel you... Host pending connection timeout...
Steps:
1. download cluster config
2. open in your Grid Editor
3. make sure all your maps have Home Server Clicked so it is set to your home server
4. Save and upload cluster config
5. all maps that you use should now have the home icon on the nitrado website(when you have uploaded you new config).
6. Restart main server.

Just confirmed that you do not have to set any spawning on b1. Grid editor (Set to Home) check box should be translated to (set to home server) because that is what lets people log in and out.

And another idea i have.

I have finally figured it out a fix to keep my server password. So here we go!
step 1. download your cluster config file at Nitrado, to do this click the gear on the main server.
step 2. At a PC have your server grid editor opened, open the cluster config file you downloaded from the server.
Step 3. set B1 as a home server as well as your main server (both servers will stay as home server).
Step 4. using grid editor set spawns on islands you wish people to first spawn at (0,1,2,3) , both of my servers have 2 spawning points on each map. or you may check off AutoGenerateIslandSpawnRegions in the general tab when adjusting your server settings at Nitrado website.
Step 5. Save you cluster config file, and upload it to your server.
step 6. Restart your server.

Thank you for posting your fix and work around. It's usually due to having the password on. If you removed the password and restart all servers it will usually let him back on and work fine after that.
i just think the second server doesn't need a password? wouldn't that mean that the server is asking for the same password twice? plus it is an expansion server not gunna show on the server look up anyways unless you know the IP or I make spawnable areas which I don't want? I do believe that removing the password for Expansion servers would fix the issue. and keep only passwords for main servers. hey i would beta test this in a heart beat. whats the worst that could happen.

Okay I believe i have solved my own problem. so what i did was:
1. go to Nitrado, click the gear on the main server.
2. click on configure your atlas Download your config file.
3. Open Server grid editor on a pc.
4. Open Projects, open, then downloads( or where you have your downloads going).
5. Open cluster_config file
6. for the grid have the box check marked for server info.
7. ip, port, and gameport must be filled in(for B1 all grids are different)
ip: 37.10.126.133
port: 57561
gameport: 5761
*if your having this issue in another grid you can just load one of the sample grids that comes with the Server Grid Editor and copy the information.
8. Save
9. upload new saved cluster config file
10. Restart Server

Hello Nitrado Community, I am having a bit of trouble with my server(second server only). friend logs out on the second server and I log out on the main server. So when i have the server password on i can connect to the main server. Main server is fine no issues but flying fish on a restart. now on the second server friend tries to login puts in everything correctly and when the game is loading Primegamedata_bp he fails to connect. now the only thing that fixes this issue as of now is removing the server password then he is able to join.
Thing I have tried on Server settings as of now
*Checking and not checking able to spawn on home server. Checked as of now (did not fill in spawns on the map editor/working on now).
*Removing server password (fixes the issue he has when joining) Could this be a server side issue? can i not turn off the password of my second server? or is this my fault in some sort of setting on the map editor?(double checking/working on now).
Any thoughts on what my mistake is?
