Priority Queue

Dear forum members,
for some time now we have been creating and maintaining new ways to help game server admins with questions and problems as quickly as possible, e.g. our Guides section and the Nitrado Community Discord.

Therefore, we inform you that the Nitrado Forum will be closed on March 31, 2023. We are consolidating our community support to our Discord channel, which is faster and more efficient. We have also seen incredible growth in our community due to the hard work of our moderators and our bots. We are confident that this move will ensure that we provide the best support possible for our users.

Thank you to all members for your continued use of the forum!

Assistance with all questions concerning your Nitrado service can now be found in these spots:
Community Discord: https://discord.gg/nitrado

  • Anyone know how to mess with or set up a priority queue for DayZ PC servers here on Nitrado? We are trying to offer it as a reward for donations on our server, but I don't know what to do. I've looked all over the internet for this one, but couldn't find anything on it.

And I know I asked this in an thread ealier, but does anyone know how to edit the map itself with VanillaPlusPlus Map? I just need to add one simple line through the map so players can see the division of our land.

  • Complaining after 5 hours of waiting?

some people have a real life and in some countries (e.g. mine) it was nighttime and they are asleep.

maybe people don’t answer because they don’t know any solution (and I think they don’t need to answer only telling you they don’t know)

Give it a try doing research via google search

btw. Nitrado forums is one of the most informative forums , take a look at the forums of direct competitors (names shall not be listed)

    that had to be said

Won't lie I hadn't slept for 36 hours yesterday and was working on my server for those hours when I (regrettably) posted all this stuff. (Just so you know I never post in forums unless I already searched across the internet, google, and the Nitrado forums in every possible way I could, it would be dumb to NOT look up stuff beforehand. Mind you, I was also doing research in those 5 hours of waiting before I posted that last comment out of anger with myself and the server.)

My frustration was through the roof because I ALSO have a life to live and was pushed into doing this server last second because no one else in my group knows anything about technical stuff.

But thank you for putting my tired self in-place because now that I've slept, I mostly agree with you lol
I do have to say that Nitrado is VERY frustrating and I've noticed a lot of people don't really use it for DayZ (PC) because of how complicated it has to be for ANYTHING to work. And I can't agree with the fact that Nitrado has the most "informative forum" because it doesn't have anything about simple DayZ PC problems

  • Hello,

Sorry that you are frustrated. Just to remind you this is a Community Support Forum. Which means its a forum for gamers and admins like yourself to help, suggested or provide feedback.

Some folks as already posted simply dont answer because they do not know the answer. If you are unable to find the response you are looking for in the Community, you could also try contacting Nitrado Support and see what they may add.

    Thank you

  • I should have been more specific as I said, that Nitrado forums is imho one of the most informative ones.

This forum is a special one related to a server Hoster, unfortunately it isn’t as big as it was before in former times ( Arma2/3 Dayz Mod).

Nitrado decided to wipe the old forum and do a fresh start.

You can try to get solutions especially for your Nitrado Server here and hopefully for Dayz in general.

A ton of information you can get on reddit, this is where I learned most of the stuff I know today, but this is a very general one and you have to apply the information to your Nitrado Server by yourself.

This can be frustrating at the beginning, but once you get more experienced things are getting more clear and easy.

In general all servers at any Hoster have the same structure, maybe the access via webinterface differ a lot.

Once you get practiced you can manage your server mostly without using the webinterface, (so I do).

Use the freeware editor notepad++ to edit files on your local PC and use a freeware ftp tool like FileZilla to down/upload the files.

You may have more luck getting an answer to your question (how to draw a line on the map) on reddit.

You can also try to ask in the Steam workshop or discord of the VPP Map.

(I hope I got my point clear as my native language is german and my old school english is about 40 years old ;) )
