[Update#2] Epic Games client unable to connect to Ark servers

Dear forum members,
for some time now we have been creating and maintaining new ways to help game server admins with questions and problems as quickly as possible, e.g. our Guides section and the Nitrado Community Discord.

Therefore, we inform you that the Nitrado Forum will be closed on March 31, 2023. We are consolidating our community support to our Discord channel, which is faster and more efficient.     Stop trying to blame it on epic games... when we try to use epic games to connect to other servers and they work perfectly but when we try to connect to nitrado servers they timeout. it is nitrado servers not epic games. We are paying for a service that is not working and that is a big issue. Imagine paying for a phone contract but you can't call text or browse at all, it's completely horrible service

    As annoying as it is, we don't really know where the issue lies and with whom. Considering it's an issue exclusive to the Epic people, its not necessarily on Nitrado's shoulders. Just hope for the best and it'll be up eventually. I've just been lurking and refreshing this page, while checking for any changes on the notification on the server homepage. At least there is a form of communication that's far better than I've seen on a lot of gaming platforms, even just acknowledging there's an issue goes above some game creators xD

    Appreciate you have placed a notice on our servers now, but this has been going on for quite some time with little to no explination from yourselves as to what is happening. We are all paying for a service - one that you are not currently delivering. at the very least you could keep us updated via the forum MODS as to what is happening.


    The customer service here is terrible.

    you can connect to all servers except Nitrado. But since the servers are running, there must be a problem with both the provider and Ark. Because you can use the console command to connect to IP to join the server. Only Battle Eye throws you down again.


    maybe something went wrong with the integration of the Nitrado servers.

    I have found a workaround for our group at least. Direct connect. Start a local session, access console. enter "open ip:port" and i got rigth in. just not through the front door. not sure how to make this work with a password protected server, but it worked for us tonight. this might help target the problem too. login servers?

    You need to disable Battle Eye also to get this to work, or it will kick you after 5 minutes.

    wouldnt even let me in for the 5 so... it just crashes.. even disabled the password thinking it'd help but dont even know how to disable battle eye

    It's in the nitrado control panel where all the other server settings are. hit ctrl + f on keyboard and search battleeye there

    Steam user here, still can't start my server. When I check the server status in my dashboard I get :

    Oops! An Error Occurred

    The server returned a "500 Internal Server Error".

    Something is broken. Please let us know what you were doing when this error occurred. We will fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience cause.


    I can stop it but it get stuck with the pac-man figure *server restarting* when I force start it.

    Unfortunately the server has been away for almost 24 hours and I conclude that Epic Games has no structure at all. I'll take advantage of Steam's promotion to buy the game. Why am I paying a server without playing.

    they really dont care, the moderator started this forum about the problem and he deleted himself from this forum so he won't receive notifications. this is freaking horrible. we're paying for something that doesnt work. It's like paying for a phone service but not being able to call, text, or browse the web. this is unforgivable and i want my money back. Stop letting Nitrado off the hook here, they're trying to blame epic games for the problem but when you use epic games to connect to other servers it works... but when you connect to nitrado servers you can't connect.
