Just logged into my server, and my progress seems to be set back about 10 hours of 'player lifttime'.
I understand that there may be server issues, but is there a way to create a backup or save point of the progress? I see an option to restore a backup in the web interface but no where to create one?

That issue should now be one of the past....
I've not had any issues with mine since Nitrado confirmed the fixes and me re-installing my server after they confirmed.
Have you tried re-installing the server recently? if not I would advise to do so.
If you continue to have issues going forward from a re-install then put a ticket to support and they should be able to get it sorted for you 
Well, that sounds hopeful, but is there a way to make a backup before I reinstall and lose our progress?
Not that I'm aware of...
I held off doing anything on my server until the issues were confirmed fixed but Nitrado did recommend a re-install as that seems to have resolved the issues for most (following their confirmed fixes).
Once they confirmed the issues were resolved, I re-installed the server from scratch and I've had no issues since.
3 times reinstalling the server did the job for me XD
