Ark server won't start

Thank you for submitting a ticket to Nitrado Support.

As you saw when submitting Nitrado Support had a message posted that you may expect longer than normal time to pick up a ticket.

Typically a ticket is picked up in 24hrs. You can also call then on Skype during there open phone hours.

In the meantime you can check the following:

Server version, logs, and/or mods are up to date.

If you wish, you could try a recovery backup.

mine says the same thing ... been since yesterday as well.. did the whole ticket thing.. but still no word been almost 24 hours ..

Add me to the list. Have a 3 server cluster, two of my servers (The Island and Crystal Isles) have been down since yesterday and will not start. If anyone gets any info on this (known issue?) or any possible workarounds, I would be much obliged.

I just rented a server for 30 days and have been trying the last 2 hours to start it, but it is stuck in a restarting loophole. I tried to force stop and then start it when it gave me the option, but it just showed the server restarting. I waited 30 minutes before doing anything but it still showed the server was restarting. I tried to force start but that didn't work either. If anyone knows or finds a way to fix this, i would be thankful if they share it.

I called support last night, they moved my 2 servers that are having this issue to different hardware. The servers start now, but have lost all data save character data (characters spawn in, in their tribes, but have no inventory, no structures, no tames). Trying various backups to see if we have a fix but this may be a near total loss for my cluster.

I've wait for suport about 9 hours with no success.

So, here's the solution:

1. Make sure you have backups of the server;

2. Reinstall the server;

3. Restore the backup (I restored the internal backup, the one that is done most times a day.)

After that everything went back to normal on the server.

I thought it was risky, but I had to try. Do it at your own risk.

Lesson learned for me is to keep local backups. I've restored multiple backups from the admin console with no success. This is the first PC cluster I've run (I've done console in the past) and I didn't know local backups could be done. I know now!

I'm in the same situation. Purchased a server last night and it's been stuck on a constant state of restarting... I've reinstalled it and everything.

If you've tried reinstalling and it is still working. I would suggest submitting a support ticket.
