Has anybody else encountered the inability to place primitive structures down since the update, also there seems to be a dead zone in the swamp on rag where you would disconnect.

Curious, have you already checked the official ARM wiki and forums for any known issues or bugs?
If not, I would suggest that one. I go there first in case something was posted. Might save you some time and effort.
-
ive done a bit of searching since it occurred but to no avail. thanks for the lead. will reply if i get a fix
-
I'm not a PS4 ARKer, so I am unable to tell you if those are issues. On PC at least for the swamp area is fine.
Prim+ hasnt been supported for a long time now as per the ARK wiki so I have no idea.
Sorry

I'm having the same issue today. Lumber Foundations , lumber mill can no longer be placed Anywhere. It shows green, but when go to place them, nothing happens?
-
I'm having the same issue as well. Nitrado hosted, crossplay enabled, Primitive+ server unable to place Prim+ exclusive items.
It seems to have happened before.
Can't place any structures anywhere on the map (Primitive +, green but can't place).
-
it did and i found a fix for it last time, but it doesnt work here in this instance
-
Has anyone heard if there are any plans in the works to fix this. From what I understand it is across all platforms on Nitrado Hosted servers and we are pretty much dead in the water waiting.
-
It's a known nitrado issue, from what I can find it has happened at least 3 other times. Usually immediately following an update to ark, also it would seem a fix could be "relatively" quick but I wouldn't hold my breath. The first couple times the issue occurred it took months to resolve. I hope it gets fixed with all due haste, but more than likely Primitive Plus is once again dead on nitrado until further notice.

I have been trolling the internets still looking for a solution. I have found that there were limited successes moving servers to another machine. Perhaps that could be a solution. I will be trying it out as soon as i get the opportunity.
-
are you gus moving your prim + servers to another service to get it to work?
-
Since mine is through the Xbox version, I am still waiting for Nitrado to migrate the server to t another machine.
I'm hoping it doesn't take them too much longer.
-
I'm having the same problem through another service.
-
Yup, it appears to be affecting Official, and consoles but ok in SP as per this thread..

Same issue. Looking back it takes quite a while for them to fix these kind of issues. I can tell you definitively what the issue is and if you test around you will see I am correct. As someone with a fair amount of programming experience this SHOULD be an extremely simple fix. It really just depends on when they feel like doing it. The problem isn't that things aren't placing per say. The problem is with the item paths. When you place a candle you get a cauldron, when you place a large fence you get a small one. Almost ALL items specific to Prim+ do this. Some linking to items that you cant place at all (Explaining the I cant place stuff thing). All that needs to be done, is correcting the paths in their default configuration to the server. I believe this can be done manually with the ini but having to override all of the engrams on the server to play something I paid for seems a bit too much.
Basically what is happening is when you select an item in your menu (which is configured correctly) it shows the item correctly but when you go to place the item instead of it using that items path its using a completely different path. Most likely due to an item added or deleted during an update throwing off the server configs by a few paths per item.
EX.
Pre update...
engram 1 : table : table path
engram 2 : fire : fire path
engram 3 : chair : chair path
engram 4 : wall : wall path
Post update...
engram 1 : table : table path
engram 2 : carpet : fire path **NEW ITEM**
engram 3 : fire : chair path
engram 4 : chair : wall path
engram 5 : wall : N/A
engram 6 : N/A : carpet path
In my opinion if you as a provider are providing access to a service for a fee. Regardless of how large you are growing or how much money your making, You should keep up with your offered services and maintaining a certain level of quality that is to be expected when spending money. (NOTE: If anyone is going to say, wait... but they didn't add or remove anything this time. This can happen from a simple reordering of the items in the patch and the service host not updating along with it.)
PS. This is not an attack on Nitrado services. All other hosting services are having the same issues. However this does not change what they need to do to fix. Simply adding the path override to their default config will take some time but should work.

I agree with this assessment L1nqz. It would be great if they would post credits to the servers that are affected by this since they are virtually unplayable. There's no way to pause our services, and the info is completely lost if we don't continue to pay.
I believe a credit or ability to pause a server would be great customer service.

It appears to have been fixed with the same update that added the Tropeognathus. Better late than never, i guess.

Typically game bug are not credited generally speaking.
