Start with new savegame.

Quick question if i start the server with new save game selected in the start with backup menu does it only delete that one maps progress or all maps and data?

Hello,

I just want to clarify are you asking if you start a brand new game on a map that had been previously saved will you lose old saves?

If you say have an island map and you want to switch to the center map and you had played the center previously. If you start fresh eventually it will overwrite the old saves for that map.

I suppose I could have worded that better, so essentially what I'm trying to ask is if I play on extinction for months then move to island which we had a save on before and i use start with a new save game does it only reset the island, but we still keep all progress on Extinction if we move back to it.

yes each map has it own save and back up files. So you can switch back and forth between maps as many times as you'd like.
