I rented a server yesterday and since then have been unable to join the server. I can find it in the list, but when I try to join it says, “connection to the server timed out.” I’ve tried on iOS and android and neither will work. It seems to be just my server though because I can join other servers. Can anyone suggest anything to help fix this?

Hello.
I tried looking up so information to see what I can find out. I wasnt able to come across a definitive fix. I think the best thing for you to do at the moment is to submit a support ticket or call the Nitrado Hotline.

Thanks for trying. I thought I might have found some info, so I tried going back to default settings. After that my server didn’t show up and on the app it said something about the gamefile not being found and to reinstall. So, I went to the web interface and did a reinstall. Now, it’s just..not there and the web interface won’t even pop up. It’s a mess.

It seems to be a widespread issue at the moment. My server is saying the same thing. I am sure they're aware of it and working to resolve the problem. Just please be patient and I would suggest submitting a support ticket so they're aware its affecting your server as well.

Update: I’ve submitted a support ticket. The server is back up, but still not able to join. Patiently waiting for support to contact me. 😁

Update: I spoke to someone at Nitrado last night. I was told that it had something to do with hosting my server out of NewYork and that they were working on it. To test that theory I started another server hosted out of Miami and it works just fine. I also received an email this afternoon saying the problem had been resolved by their engineers. However, when I restarted the original server, it still was not connecting. So, the problem seems to be hosting off New York.

I just jumped on my server. It's running perfectly smooth at the moment. My server was stuck in the shutting down error lastnight. I'd give a look at the pinned thread at the top of the ark forum. Try some of these steps to see if you can get it up and running. If that doesn't work I'd give them a call back tonight and have them take a look at it.

The New York hosted server, yes. The Miami hosted server, no.
Ok so the New York server is all good but the Miami one is still not working correctly? Just want to make sure I'm reading it correctly. I know there was some issues on the New York servers lastnight.

No, the New York server is not working, the Miami server is fine

I reached out and had Nitrado force stop your New York server. Could you please try to start up again after they stop it

Update: Nitrado force stopped and sent me emails saying issue was fixed, but it never was. In the end they credited me for the New York server and I kept the Miami hosted server and have had no problems 🤷🏽♀️
