  • HI, just bought a nitrado server for a month for Atlas.

All the settings seem to be there apart from the stats per level.

The nitrado wiki suggests steps that aren't even on the nitrado dashboard.

downloaded the json but adding things doesnt seem to make a difference.

the internet hasn't been helpful either.

anyone have any suggestions or a json file that has the settings already inputted?

there's just 3 of us playing so we wanted the boosted stats pretty badly.

    thanks in advance

  • in settings got to general a page. scroll threw and change as desired. FYI just go to your xbox console in single player and play with the stats and try them out before you apply them to your server. it also gives you a better run down on what values does what. hope this helps you.

  • If you want to edit the JSON, please visit the Nitrado Wiki as it will link you to the editor to make the changes. You are going to need to learn JSON to make edits. Fair warning, not much videos on it. Once you get the JSON open in the editor you add your players weights in the "Override ShooterGameMode DefaultGame.ini Values" area in json. And it does work. I've tested.

  • I'm still having issues getting it to work with my stats. That is really all we want to do with it and the whole reason we purchased server space. I'm learning as I go with the whole .json file and language, but apparently I'm not learning well enough. I actually copied the examples from the link, where it says to place them, and it's not changing my stat boosting at all. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks for all the help in advance and thanks for welcoming me to the community! I'm a long time Ark player and am excited to get going with Atlas!

  • If you happen to be on an official map and not just a custom made from scratch grid map you will have to find out what your grids are in the json and add your edits to each individual grid or only the home server will have your edits.

For example my grid i had originally on the official map was E7, E8, D7 and D8. So E7 was listed as grid x, 4 grid y, 7.... Or something to that effect... Seeing as E should be 5 since its the 5th letter in the alphabet it is not.. The grids start at 0 not 1...

Anyway from there once i found my grids in the json file i had to go under OverrideShooterGame.ini on each grid and put any edits in.. Hope this helps

Also check your json code for errors like Tinman suggested to me and it fixed a lot of problems.

  • The other thing to point out is if you are running blackwood and not a cluster/grid you cant edit using json since blackwood uses the more traditional ARK style server setup. Nitrado has no given us access to export mode or even the advanced options where you can add stat per level like you can in Ark. Id love to see stats per level and the experiance override like i can in ark come to Blackwood since it should be the same code for those two things.

Yes if running blackwood you cant edit the json like the wiki shows that is only for ocean type clusters. You can export a json from the general tab but that JSOn just allows you to config what you already see through the webUI. We wont get stats per level until nitrado gives us expert mode or the advanced tab where we can change some of the ini files.

Blackwood is like Ark where there is no "external" database and everything is done using cmd line with server start or .ini files

  • Opening it up is pending the dev team with the game creator and console platforms to open up more. Also BW was designed as a standalone. Feel free to ask them or even ask the map creator as others have in their discord.

And you can edit the json and increase levels (yes, even blackwood). Someone posted at the official Atlas site they use Nitrado XBox and have increased max players by editing the JSON. Did some quick google searching.

Those familiar with editing the JSON, you have main access on the front page as I call it. You have access to the game.ini here, and the BaseServer Args which is the CLI, and global play to add/edit like powerstone stuff.

Where do we get access to the json with blackwood xbox installed? You can download the config from the general page but all the settings there are what is on the general page json is just the format of the exported settings. I mean i get that might be the case with non-console versions but for console we do not have access to CLI, JSON, or game.ini. They might of edited the max reserved players using JSON with nitrado but that is also available in UI. I would love to be proven wrong but I have also had a support case open where i complain about all this even though i know support cant do anything. Wish they would edit my ini for me though lol.

  • Well, I see where int he WebUI you do not have access to the JSON as stated for BW, but you do for a normal 1x1 server.

I wonder how the person using Nitrado XBox increased his player level. hmm. interesting.

I would recommend going back to your ticket or Nitrado Support and ask them again how someone can increase player stats on BW with XBox.
