A friend of mine has rented a server here and is hosting the modpack: "Tekxit 3". it works like it should, people can join and theres no odd errors.
However, i kept being disconnected from the server with the error: "internal exception java.io.ioexception an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." the first 4-5 times i could connect back. sometimes immidiatly, sometimes it took 5 ish minutes.
Now i can't join at all. when i try to ping the server it takes very long and ends up not seeing it. (cant even retrieve the server image)
only on rare occasion does it see the server for a split second and it looks like the connection is really bad "1 out of 5 bars" when i try to connect than it just gives me a timeout.
Any other attempt comes up with: "io.netty.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception connection timed out no further information"
I have tried:
Restarting
game
pc
Launcher
Router
Reinstalling
launcher
Java
Modpack
Messed with the firewall on both router and pc.
The server has also been restarted and it didnt help.
This problem is very specific to me as EVERYONE else on the server can connect like normal.
according to my friend the only error you can see come up is: "connection reset by peer"
I rarely find errors i cant fix myself by looking around but im lost on this one...
