Ark server through NY datacenter wont start.

Hey there. You might be happy to know that i'm going through the same issue so you aren't alone. I purchased the server earlier today and it won't let me even start the server. I've reset and reconfigured the server at least a dozen times to no avail. I'm going to contct support in the morning but i am hoping one of the moderators will be kind enough to give us some answers. ive basically given up at this point but I'll mention this thread to support tomorrow so they know i'm not the ony one encountering issues with their data center. heres to hopinh this gets resolved ASAP.

The best thing to do is submit a support ticket. If you've tried a reinstall and nothing is working.

Just make sure you explain everything that's going on in detail on the support ticket.

a reinstall will reinstall the sentore server but can remove backups as well

Appears a lot of people with NY Datacenter are unable to connect because of the unable to retrieve server address issue. I submitted a ticket but probably won't hear back for 24 hours or so.

Your not alone! based out of NY I've been down sense last Thursday, 5 days now.. I cant even do a reinstall on my end.. they said they fixed on my support ticket but I'm still not even coming online, so hopefully they will look back on it. They offered no explanation I just assume they are going through huge issues, hopefully they get it figured out soon. as for now all i can say is hang in there, these forums are the only place you can hope to get a clue for some answers.

if possible could you please sign into the WebUi and attempt to force stop the server then restart after 5 or so minutes and see if it comes online and you're able to connect

Oh I've tried that good sir, no luck, first i tried to restart, force shut down after is trying to start for 6+ hours and restart again to force shut down. I've tried to restore a back up and it sits there trying to restore for 12+ hours, I've tried to reinstall and it wont even attempt to do that. I get a error that there is a game switch already in progress. Whatever it is is something going on with NY's data center. Just being patient at this point is all you can do.

I'd hold off on reinstalling or backing up just in case it messing something up. Yes there's some issues with NY centers right now. Thank you and really appreciate the patience I know it's not easy sometimes

Yea im leaving it be for now. I can say this, it looks like they came and wiped it clean once already, i have no old back-ups anymore and all my setting were defaulted so i already know it will be a fresh start for us on xbox.

It never let me even start the reinstall process, they must have done something on there end. When they got to my support ticket early this morning I assume, I had the server just on shut down (with me attempting to restart it then force shut down after a decent time of waiting over the 5 days i been down), it still had all my back-ups and saves. When i got on and checked today its like a new server wiped clean still just trying to restart.

My group and I have been having the same FAILED TO RETRIEVE ADDRESS message since early this morning around 12:30am ET when we all got disconnected at the same time. Sounds like these NY servers are all jacked up from everything I'm reading on the forums and third party downdetector sites. We are mostly all based out of OH, so I'm guessing we're all having the same issues here.

I also have a server based out of NY , It has been kicking people out about every hour and the LAG spikes have made a community of 35+ go away.

When i try to call the Support HOTLINE for service it has jusy had a busy signal for days......GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE...NOT REALLY
