my doed only gathers stone

So like it says on the title my doedicurus is only gathering stone, the rates for harvest are all like i wanted no prob but then when i got my doed and started to harvest he just gathers stone, any ideas on how to solve this?

also i just checked and on trees he gets both wood and thatch if it's valuable info

Ohhhhh my bad then i just haven't played for some time and had the idea that it could gather flint as well even if it was way lower than the stone

so i did a post earlier where i couldn't figure it out why my doed wasn't gathering flint at all and a mod responded that it never doesn't and it solved my post so i can't reply there, he also told me the wiky explains it, i went to check and well the wiki classifies doed as the 6th best thing to gather flint with 3 star rating so i guess i was right finding it weird that i wasn't doing any gathering at all. So can someone actually tell me why this is happening?
