Log in this morning and find our whole Blackwood map wiped (forced to create new character)! Went to do an emergency restore, and there are none!!
Literally everything is gone and there is no restore I can make??? All our tames, our tribe, our tames, all our buildings!
Atlas it in their release notes that some may experience wipes.

This is a Grapeshot issue of the wipes- you may want to visit their forums and express your frustration as others have. I suspect more than likely they or others will mention this is an EA game and wipes are expected.

Our Blackwood Atlas went through the same. Although our buildings, tames, and items remained. Players had to be recreated and an admin forced them back into the tribe, and give XP to level back up.
The restore method is not found in the WebInterface. You will need to use FTP and do the manual restore method. Assuming you had done a manual backup prior. I had created a new folder named backup and copied my entire game to it. I didnt have to use it though.
sorry I dont have a better answer. I am only going by what I personally experienced and what Grapeshot already has posted in their forums.
Do not have the manual restore done, and don't even know how to do that... I am being forced to create a new character though, so will lose all imprints =(

You will have to recreate the character. Their release notes already state this. An admin will have to give XP to level you and/or players back up.
As for a restore, it would no longer apply in your case since the time already had passed. You would have needed to do a manual backup prior to the patch. And even if you had, the player would have been reset. This is an Early Access game issue. Wipes can occur at any time to be upfront.
What I did was create a folder and named it backup. Then copied all contents of shooter into it. If I had to restore, which I didnt: I would have deleted the shooter folder and then copied over the shooter in my backup. Still your player would have been reset.
Wow, this happened again last night??? This will now be two nights in a row of having to create our characters AGAIN.
PLEASE get a way for us to do backup restores on Blackwood!!! Can someone please explain why we are losing our characters just from the server doing a reboot (seems it happened at the time of the daily reboot). If you cant prevent this from happening, what is our workaround??
As advised previously, the only thing is available is creating a folder via FTP label it say Backup, copy all shooter folder there.
If you have to restore, delete the original and copy over the copy in which you made. That is the only thing available. The game is new, and EA.
Not saying in time their is a webinterface to manage this. It just does not exist at the moment. I suspect more will be added as the game moves from EA, and into production. And if the player base continues to grow.
So how do we force a save?? If I have to do this every night in order to avoid having the recreate characters every morning, it is going to get old real fast!
The game by default should be saving every 30m. But ingame as an admin you can do a saveworld like with ARK.
You may want to create a ticket with Nitrado Support if you would like them to look more into it.
And more importantly, how do we get our characters saved?
They save progressively while ingame.

No clue. You would need to create a ticket with Support.
One was for sure due to the release as intended.
