Ark Server - Restarting Loop

Dear forum members,
for some time now we have been creating and maintaining new ways to help game server admins with questions and problems as quickly as possible, e.g. our Guides section and the Nitrado Community Discord.

Therefore, we inform you that the Nitrado Forum will be closed on March 31, 2023. We are consolidating our community support to our Discord channel, which is faster and more efficient. We have also seen incredible growth in our community due to the hard work of our moderators and our bots. We are confident that this move will ensure that we provide the best support possible for our users.

Thank you to all members for your continued use of the forum!

Assistance with all questions concerning your Nitrado service can now be found in these spots:
Community Discord: https://discord.gg/nitrado

  • I have totally become fed up with Nitrado. I am migrating to another host instead. (A couple of FTP guides and help from their support and it was all set). Cheaper and better in every way. I don't think the support here is bad, it just work to few hours. The bad thing is the quality of the service. The servers are just not good enough. I have had so many problems during the years both with ARK and Minecraft. I'm tired of paying for bad service and slow support. Nitrado needs to do better.

  • Only last 4 digits of each ip address differ, one worked fine, the other was doing something weird with restart, not loop persay, just infinitely restarting no stopping unless I manually stopped it. The alert about restart loops went away. I never did receive correspondence from Nitrado. The server appears (per nitrado) to be running smoothly, however I can't find it. I already re-installed, changed name etc. I haven't been able to use it since I purchased it. Don't have oodles of time to be hanging out with no updates, and I'm also not prepared to waste any money. I'm not a mushroom so keeping me in the dark and feeding me manure isn't going to work out well. Pretty sure there's a number of other people also waiting for enlightenment on the server technical difficulties situation. Before this I had no issues, but now I'm having Bugthesda flashbacks like I blue screened during a SB Queen and couldn't rejoin 76.....again.

  • It's been over two weeks since one of my servers on my cluster went down with this issue. They say they have a fix for it but nothing comes from it. If I did my job this poorly I would get fired.

  • Hello,

Not many reports are coming in with the issues related to the same thing.

Try a reboot, or take a look at the logs. If a crashstack appears, your gamefile is more than likely corrupted.

If the issue continues and if you havent contacted Support, please do so.

We are unable to help you here.

    Thank you

  • Hello,

If you are still having issues, some basic things to do:

    (1) Restart the server. If is hangs, about 5-10m a button appears to forcestop, then restart.

    (2) Check out the server logs. If you see crashstack, that more likely is a corrupted gamefile. It happens with ARK. Sadly the resolution is to rollback to the last known saved file. And no way knowing which one is bad. Some folks that do not feel comfortable trying this- you can contact Support.

    (3) If this is a new server, try a reinstall. *note: sometimes this happens after a game update. Wildcard suggests to do a recovery backup.

    (4) If all the above fails, please contact Nitrado Support to further investigate. If you already have please continue to be patient. We are unable to assist you here in the forums.

Moderators have no access to servers or accounts. We are volunteers and able to share experiences just like the rest as this is a Community Support Forum for Gamers and Admins just like you and I.
