Ark server won't show on server list

Dear forum members,
for some time now we have been creating and maintaining new ways to help game server admins with questions and problems as quickly as possible, e.g. our Guides section and the Nitrado Community Discord.

    I've rented with nitrado before and generally have had a pretty good experience. I still have 7 days left on my ark server but it won't show on the server list. I've tried restarting shutting down ect. the website says its up but ark won't show it (playing on epic games store). I bought the server on the website and it was working perfectly fine before. it's been down for a couple of days now. Any suggestions?

    If you are still having issues, some basic things to do:

    (1) Restart the server. If is hangs, about 5-10m a button appears to forcestop, then restart.

    (2) Check out the server logs. If you see crashstack, that more likely is a corrupted gamefile. It happens with ARK. Sadly the resolution is to rollback to the last known saved file. And no way knowing which one is bad. Some folks that do not feel comfortable trying this- you can contact Support.

    (3) If this is a new server, try a reinstall. *note: sometimes this happens after a game update. Wildcard suggests to do a recovery backup.

    (4) If all the above fails, please contact Nitrado Support to further investigate. If you already have please continue to be patient. We are unable to assist you here in the forums.

    I was having the same problem. Here's what I did. First I Restarted the server. I then gave the server plenty of time to boot back up. I just went and watch some YouTube videos for like 20 mins or so. Then go to your server Dashboard. From there you'll see the IP address for the server. Copy that. Then go to steam, click on View>Servers>Favorites>Add A Server> Once you're there, paste the IP. Before hitting add click back on the dashboard. copy the Query Number. Should be a 5 digit number. Copy and past that over the existing 5 numbers at the end of the IP. After that, hit add server. You should see it in your favorites in Ark server list after that. I know you said you've already been on the server but I'm not sure how you did it in the beginning. Maybe you did it differently somehow. Just posting this for you just in case it helps!
