Can I transfer my locally hosted characters to my Nitrado server?

I managed to get my locally hosted server up and running. But when I start the game - I'm in the airplane and all of my progress is gone (including my friends' progress as well) Is there any way to also transfer the characters we've been using to the server?

I've already transferred the local save (Multiplayer>Slot 1) and the world loads properly but my character (the original host character and my progression/items) doesn't load. It seems that I start on the airplane when I load the server.
