  • I can see my server but am unable to access it. Just keeps saying connection timed out while logging on. Ping is at 9999. Change setting backs to default and restarted and still having the same issues.

  • So, Yesterday I bought an Ark server because me and my friends wanted to play the game again with the new update coming out. I bought it and we didn't play because my friends needed to download the game. Today I planned on playing and tried launching my server but didn't let me join. So, I read up on here to see if people had the same problem and there was a thread where a guy said that he couldn't connect to his server and the ping of his server was 9999. Same exact issue with me. The moderator said to uninstall the server and reinstall it (which I did to no success), and/or to restart the server and wait for the "Force Shutdown" button to show up. So, I did that, but the "Force Shutdown" button didn't show up for like an hour after. I'm not particularly sure where the button is supposed to be, but I think it might just be an old feature that was removed since that thread was from like 2020. I'm just wondering if there is anything else I could do to troubleshoot. I wanna play on the new map :(

  • I cant get my server to stop constantly restarting there's a setting thats making it restart every 0 seconds but the maximum is 5 mins so im unable to play the server I paid for

    If you are still having issues, some basic things to do:

    (1) Restart the server. If is hangs, about 5-10m a button appears to forcestop, then restart.

    (2) Check out the server logs. If you see crashstack, that more likely is a corrupted gamefile. It happens with ARK. Sadly the resolution is to rollback to the last known saved file. And no way knowing which one is bad. Some folks that do not feel comfortable trying this- you can contact Support.

    (3) If this is a new server, try a reinstall. *note: sometimes this happens after a game update. Wildcard suggests to do a recovery backup.

    (4) If all the above fails, please contact Nitrado Support to further investigate. If you already have please continue to be patient. We are unable to assist you here in the forums.
