How do you turn these on? The update says it’s available but it’s definitely not. No selection available for them. Any help would be appreciated

unfortunantly until they add back the expert mode, these will not be available to our servers, i have seen no eta for this being fixed
-
Is it possible to add mods into an Xbox server? I can't find much about the topic at all. Not even if it is possible.
-
No. Consoles have limited ability.
-
Then why was it stated that I could? Wouldn't that be a form of false advertising?
-
You can modify your configs via the filemanager. FTP is not available for consoles. This is controlled by the game/console Devs.
Wiki for XBox: https://wiki.nitrado.net/en/category:space_engineers_(xbox) . nothing there.
Wiki for PC: https://wiki.nitrado.net/en/category:space_engineers and that does have a mod link. But in the "PC" category.
-
So (in theory) I could just plug in the ID's in the config?
-
Unfortunately not. Alot of backend stuff for PCs to make IDs work. Ie: if you had a personal server you'd have to add it to the startup CLI which no platform has access with.
So in summary until MS/Sony open up the platforms platforms are limited.
-
Then how did other Nitrado servers get mods on there? Am I to assume that their server was a pc server that had EOS turned on?
-
It could be that or they have heavily configured the ini/config files for other things.
That is the way I understand it. Maybe others in the Community here could chime in. You may also contact Nitrado Support to ask them.
-
I tried support and they told me I had to go ask KSW and they told me to talk to Nitrado so I'm heavily lost.
-
I am just a volunteer. KSW and/or Nitrado should be able to answer the question.
KSW: Q- Does the game allow Mods to be added via FTP? They should be able to answer that one.
If they say yes, then you would ask Nitrado: Q- KSW says Mods/FTP are supported. When will Nitrado have that available?
-
With Cossplay, Nitrado lost their Monopoly for xbox servers with space engineers.
There is no reason to pick Nitrado now, and if you want SE Nitrado, go PC as it doesnt have extra 30% Microsoft Store Tax.
This ID, excuse was never relevant, as SE for Xbox doesnt use it them in map or blueprints so on from the first moment Dedicated servers were release here.
It's 100% Nitrado issue, with super slow development..
Also SE Xbox Nitrado for the mod here, there is no way to edit any files even the cfg and there is No file browser to speak off.
SE Xbox Server via Nitrado via MS Store are now completely obsolete!! -
I'm checking with Support to see if it is possible to switch a Server from Xbox One to PC. If so, and I'm able to load mods into the server and get them to work with console as well, I will update this. Until then, good luck waiting patiently for Nitrado to figure it out on their end. -.-
-
Okay, so i few things to update here. You cannot transfer a world/save file from a console rented server to a pc rented server, unfortunately. Secondly, this was a response I got from Nitrado support when I asked if crossplay worked between xbox and a pc hosted server, "If you wish to crossplay between Xbox and Pc, it'll only be possible if you rent an Xbox server and play exclusively the Windows10 version or the Xbox version of the game, and sadly, you won't be able to add mods to an Xbox or a console server." which, is false on both accounts. You CAN join a crossplay enabled server from the Steam version, I've done it. You CAN load mods to the Xbox, you have to be in Beta Version available from Xbox Insiders Hub. Mods may never come to Nitrado. Good luck, I'm hosting a server myself now. Too expensive for this here anyway.
-
Like I said, Nitrado, is not the only place anymore. Waiting on anykind of mod's, will take forever with them.
And disabling crossplay on PC, is just the thing I would expect from Nitrado. To try to make xbox version more relevant.
Nitrado is nothing more then a share hoster anyway, that's overpriced for what you get. -
KSW has said mods are able to be activated and that it was on Nitrado to enable their platform to be able to activate them on our servers. honestly even though im a long time nitrado user i am seriously considering going to their competitor who already has the mods available for xbox servers. (this isnt the only reason, i have had several problems with my server and they dont seem to know how to fix them, i have had better help from forums then their support line) Nitrado still has no eta for adding them or if they do they will not tell anybody. they do not seem to care much about their customers and im tired of being told nothing.
-
heya does any one know if nitrado plan to add mod support like they do with ARK ? instead of having to upload the mods via FTP
thanks for finding the time to read my post
-
It's interesting that you've been told by Keen that it's a Nitrado issue, because I got told last week (by Nitrado) that it was a Keen issue and out of Nitrado's hands
Well, I'm going to raise support tickets with both and see what happens (probably nothing)
Wish me luck

I have added mods to my crossplay server by simply adding the mod.io mod id's. It works for me so im not sure why it wouldnt work for you
