Another thread covers this exact thing.
You can only place code that belongs in the game.ini file via engine settings. Gus if console is done through the file manager interface. If FTP you can do via FTP.
I can make all the settings I need by only using the WebUI, game engine and FTP. I never use expert.
-
FTP & WeBUI what do they mean ?
-
Also do you know what could be the reason behind my servers randomly restarting/stopping by themselves
i also have some weird crashes on one of my 2 servers
-
WebUI + Web Interface. This is how you access the server via web.
FTP = File Transfer Protocol.
-
Where do i find the FTP ?
-
A good place to start is at the Nitrado Wiki: 3.how_to_use_your_server's_ftp
May want to do some google searches to learn more about FTP and what it is used for as well.
-
I found FTP and i managed to navigate to the mod folder for Super Structures but idk if i just put the settings in there or ? and i tried using the wiki but it didn't explain much for me
i kinda struggle with stuff to an extend if i cant have it shown to me visually

If you visit the Steam Workshop of the mod the creator provides instructions how to do this.
Also if you search the forum it has already been answered a couple of times.
example of the gus.ini file...
[SuperStructures]
FridgeSlotCount=200
LargeStorageSlotCount=200
-
well i'm not able to find the gus.ini anywhere in the FTP am i doing something wrong
-
gus is the common name folks use. The full filename is gameusersettings.ini.
arkse\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer
-
i know what gus stands for but when i'm in the ftp it doesn't allow me to change anything
-
You have to download the file to your PC, edit with an editor like notepad, or notepad++. Save. Then upload back to server. This is the cleanest way.
You can actually edit within filezilla. But being this is new for you the above be better.

What if mod doesn't specify their config?
