so I renamed the wrong file
I just did a backup from this morning.
-
Ok I tried just replacing the minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar and minecraft_server.jar only and it works just fine so far... Apparently theres some other required files that are not listed in the guide.
Its loaded all the mods I'm using just need to actually try playing on the server
-
... ok, all ready?
-
Yes I been on the server and it seems stable. I just had to replace the server jar files no removing needed
-
That sounds great!
And I also learned something!
-
Now I just need to get world edit and the other utility plugins then I can actually take my server public lol
-
nice job
-
-
Last I checked 1.12.2 dont have a bukkit/spigot
-
All good.
It's only important to know, because plugins usually only work on Bukkit and Spigot servers and mods only on Forge servers.
-
I think the support for the bukkitforge jar was ended around 7.10 but it could have been as recent as 10.2 I would need to check. I know cauldron was an alternative to bukkitforge.
Do you know any options I could try to implement at least something akin to factions or anti grief? I can do world editing the hard way but I really don't wanna take the server public without some kinda protections for players
-
Personally not, I usually do not use Forge. But maybe Conan or another Nitrado community user.
-
hmm
I think spongeforge
can use plugins and mods
I can't tell you about this ... i have never use this
-
Spoungeforge uses its own set of plugins I would have to look through everything and see if theres any plugins that are usable
-
-
I'll try it.
Edit: seems to work on SP gonna try on server now. The team settings are gonna take some time to learn how to manage tho
