US Xbox server- Could not retrieve address

I just rented a server today. I can see it on the unofficial PC sessions list. I entered my password and it says

joining failed

Could not retrieve address

I have tried multiple Xbox live accounts, multiple Xboxes (XB1, XB series X), restarted consoles, internet, Nitrado server.

I see others have had this error and they started a single player game or joined an official server, but those workarounds are not working.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Did you purchase the correct server? If you purchased it through the website, it is a PC server, not XBox. To get an XBox one, you need to purchase through the Nitrado app with the MS store.

Yes. This was purchased using the Nitrado app using the ms store. I have the confirmation from ms store.
