So their name will not pop up, however there will be a blank line entry with "*****" (5) stars, and admins can only get "****" (4) stars.
Simply click on their 5 stars and press ban.

Yep, i was able to connect and promote myself to admin on xbox using the steam vrage client
Landongr the SE Dedicated Servers link helped me get it but they dont realy have a very good step by step walkthrough on how you did it.

Seems like you can promote yourself using the Vrage client on PC if you own it from steam you can connect to the Rcon port
That is what I did.. used the VRAGE client and can manage grids, promote users, etc.

Landongr i have the steam SE Dedicated Server how you connected.
Many server providers have decent instructions on how to set up dedicated server, which includes the VRAGE executable which can connect to a remote server (like these).

Landongr i have the steam SE Dedicated Server how you connected.
Basically look inside the dedicated server folder (should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceEngineersDedicatedServer\DedicatedServer64)
where ever you saved it and run the VRageRemoteClient.exe
create a profile for xbox enter http:// followed by your server ip and the port should be 36002. Then go into your config file on your server here on nitrado and scroll down or search for the <RemoteSecurityKey> tag. use that as the Security key. Then hit Connect.
once you are in you can go to the chat tab and see the players in your server amongst other things. From there you can promote yourself to admin.

Make sure you are using the correct port number. It is the querry port listed on your server dashboard. If you have the HTTP:/<your server IP> and the proper port, it should come up. If you have some local firewall running on your machine, you may need to open that port.

I managed to get connected to my server this way. Is there any chance this tool can be used to customize the settings for the server (inventory size, PCU, etc?)
I just used the steamcmd method above and it worked perfectly. After going through the steps in the document, I was able to promote myself to a 4 star and git all the access I needed. You can not however make yourself the 5 star owner. I am not sure what a 5 star gets over a 4 star, but in game I get everything I was looking for. One note on the document that slowed me down for a minute was in step 4 under "Setting up DedicatedServer64" when its asking for the API port, you will find it in the config file, in the document its stated "Game Configuration" section. Also you don't need to change you API key, just use the one list in the config file as well.

actually turns out the blank 5 star users are wolves or spiders if you have them activated lol. Banning the server from the server kicks everyone out hahahaha
I have followed the above method, using VRage client. However, it connects me to an entirely different players, hosted server. Both server IP and port match those on my servers dashboard, and the key matches that which is saved within the config file...

Sure did. Even hid the API key from settings. They officially won't allow it and say keen made the call because "they felt it was too confusing for some"... That's what support told me.
We now have to wait for them to make it stupid proof...
