Admin cheats/commands not working

I've watched plenty of videos teaching me how to use the admin commands but none of them seem to work. Wondering if there's a setting i'm missing for my server or if the commands work differently on these servers. I'm on an xbox server.

I know this might seem obvious but you need to enter the admin password first before you can use any admin commands.

I know I have to enter the admin password BUT what do I do if the commands box doesn't even come up?

MyHipGam3rTag10 where are you trying to pull up the admin command bar ? And are you hitting lb,rb x and y at the same time in th3 pause menu?
