how to get eerie wild dinos to spawn on unofficial servers

Dear forum members,
for some time now we have been creating and maintaining new ways to help game server admins with questions and problems as quickly as possible, e.g. our Guides section and the Nitrado Community Discord.

Therefore, we inform you that the Nitrado Forum will be closed on March 31, 2023. We are consolidating our community support to our Discord channel, which is faster and more efficient. We have also seen incredible growth in our community due to the hard work of our moderators and our bots. We are confident that this move will ensure that we provide the best support possible for our users.

Thank you to all members for your continued use of the forum!

  • hello, Im a server owner of 2 different servers. i seen today that for the Halloween update unofficial server owners have to option to have wild eerie dino spawn in on their servers. however i am only use to using my mobile device to change settings on my servers and i am not familiar with the web interface. a nitrado agent said i would have to " use web browser for modifying the .ini files on your game server, that settings will have to be added on your game files" okay so that where im stuck i have no idea how to do anything like that. so if anyone has any information pictures or links that will help me out, it would be very helpful. thank you for your time.

  • In the web interface, it's in the menu on the left, Setttings/ General, scroll down a bit to Active Event, and change to "current official event", then restart your server. But keep in mind, event dinos will only spawn occasionally to replace normal wild creatures that have died. If you don't want to wait for them to spawn, load into the game, open the in-game console, enter "enablecheats <password>" (putting in the admin password you set ), then "admincheat DestroyWildDinos". That should make all the wild creatures go poof, and as new ones spawn to replace them, a certain percentage will be the "eerie" ones.

By the way, the same settings as the web interface are also in the Nitrado mobile app, you just have to drill into it a bit.
