installing a modpack not on the nitrado list?

hi everyone,

i'm wondering if it is possible to install a server with the server files of a modpack thats not on the nitrado list ?

lets say i wanna make my server awakening: sky of diamonds, can i just download the server files on my pc, run the server so it is setup and all is ok and then upload all those files trough FTP?

i did read the " upload your own minecraft modpack" on the wiki but not sure if i need to do it this way or can just be lazy and upload the server files provided by the pack author?

ok that answers my question about custom packs, but what .jar need to be renamed into what name ?

there are always 2 .jars i see, the ftbserver.jar and the minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar (in my case atm)
