it keepss making me open steam, but i have it on epic
how do i join my server when i play on epic?

If you have a steam shortcut, dont click on it. Open it with EPIC. Also your server has to have EPIC/Steam enabled. By default it does not. Also not if you have used Steam and mods, once you enable it for EPIC+Steam, all mods are disabled. Mods are not available for EPIC

Use EPIC. EPIC has their own game client.
You have to install it if you havent already.

You have to add yourself as the admin is the first part or log in while ingame.
Also on the WebUI page have creative mode checked.

I have been struggling with this as well BUT I come baring gifts!
If your on Epic and you have you Server set up as CrossPlatform (Steam + Epic) you can either try to find your server name in the list which for me hasn't worked in the past days..If you want to connect to your server from Epic let the players load into SinglePlayer first (Character Creation is not important so let them skip it), than once they're loaded in let them open the console (default is Tab) and type the following:
If you use a Password on your server do this:
So for example if your IP is 238.10.6.2 your connection port is 3000 and your password is "NitradoRulez" it would look like this:
Then press Enter and it will start to load if the IP, Port and Password has been correct!
@Moderators or DOAGEN Share this somewhere please or add it to the wiki cause I spend over half an hour searching for this while Streaming the game on Youtube..

Nitrado typically adds things to the wiki when it covers the mass of players or I am assuming so. Moderators have no access to add things to the wiki, but Nitrado Support does review the forums and will see your inquiry.
Personally I have not had any issues playing on EPIC ARK connecting to Steam. Just my personal experience. You did the right thing by posting in the Tutorial section. Thank you.
